This video shows a very quick demo of the isometric depth sorting system in the engine. You can see the sprite following the mouse position and the tile it resides on being highlighted underneath it.

The Isogenic Game Engine is written entirely in Javascript and what you see on screen is pure HTML with Canvas elements as viewports to the engines’ world.

    @WreckSector In a lot of ways, it is one of the most complex parts of isometric projection on computers. I recently broke the depth-sorting system in Isogenic Engine accidentally when I re-wrote the dirty rectangle system so this demo was a happy moment for me because I've fixed depth-sorting again. 🙂
