From designer Luke Laurie comes an epic game set in a fantasy world that uses worker placement, tableau building, area control, hand management…pretty much all the things we love in a good game. Get just a little taste of what the game has in store with our First Look.

Was this preview paid?

Perhaps my most anticipated game of 2019. It holds a lot of promise and I cannot wait for the KS to, umm, kick-off.

I'm getting a similar vibe to Vindication, anybody else?

This looks and sounds great! Loving the artwork and minis as well! Thanks for sharing, guys!

I'm 80% into the video and I am already feeling overwhelmed with all the rules.

Since this has combat, how aggressive is the game??

Got to say, this does look pretty good. I need to find money for it!

Looks cool! Will there be a less expensive pledge tier without miniatures?

I'm definitely interested in the First Round when you get that up. Luke Laurie being involved definitely has me interested – MP:EE is one of my favorite worker placement games.

I am going to be honest here, if you guys were not that excited I wouldn't look at this twice. Most of the times trying to integrate so many mechanics in a game results in a mess, but since you seem to like it so much I am going to pay attention to your next presentations. Cheers!

Why is there no overhead shot of the game? You lay it out in front of you but never actually give a clear image of the entire play area alongside a description of what we are looking at. This would really help understand prior to jumping in to the individual components and descriptions. I've noticed this before in some of your other previews even when they are not prototypes.
This makes the explanation very difficult to follow; as an example you discuss "Putting a worker out and pulling it back" but never show an overhead image of where you would pull the worker from and where you are ale to put them. For me, this leaves WAY to much to try and figure out WTH you are explaining and how it fits in overall.
Ultimately, for me at least, this makes the preview and others similar to it, worthless for helping understand and making a purchase decision. Please consider a complete overhead shot and explanation of the board game space. Thanks.

Played this at Pacificon last year and it is fantastic!

Ha! At first I thought "this is a weird expansion for Everdell" until I slowed down to read better. 😃

Definitely excited for this.
Question: aside from during a battle when you use the same space as another player, how much direct fighting with others is there?

God, I can't wait. This company blew my Gen Con experience out of the water. I've sold Root and Detective since then, but not RISE OF TRIBES. Rise of Tribes was awesome, and so is Expancity. I cannot wait to back this DAY ONE. Breaking Games makes okay party games and casual games, but their hobby enthusiast stuff hits a nice light/medium niche for me and my group.

Ticks all the boxes! Thank you for the video 🙂

Very excited for this! Been a while since a euro-style game has gotten me really amped up.

Two players?

So glad KS is not until June.
