Besides the odd game that adds a brick wall behind the front door….I'm fucking drop kicking the old ass front door and booking. It's relatively easy to break through an old door, especially if you have a buddy who is over 250lbs. New doors even.

Aw, that phone call was adorbs. =3

I had no idea that was a thing with spirit boards. Definitely can empathize with the controller/mouse messing with each other, that's happened to me several times in different games. At least the game wasn't too punishing with how far back you went.

Some parts of this game give me a house on haunted hill vibe.

Guy was able to take the board without disturbing the web. Yeah, he's clearly a powerful ghost hunter.

    It's like… A visual create-your-own-adventure book. Love it.

"Rig veda" is "not supposed to exist"? Bro all the Vedas are litreally available… what an ignorant statement. Also love how every horror game has the books/notes readily opened to the required page

I actually kind of love this game's sense of humour. Swings wildly between absurdist and dryer than dust, and I'm totally here for that.

this is pretty sweet for game that came out 3 years ago, you're basically a paranormal specialist fucking with some poor girl who died for no apparent reason. i like it.

8:11 The Danjing yaojue (丹經要訣) is a Chinese alchemical text containing formulae for supposed elixirs of immortality. These were derived from identified long-lasting substances, and were usually incredibly toxic (mercury, sulfur, arsenic, etc.)

I bet assassins really loved having emperors who willfully asked their court to murder them.

Chris “Kolchak” is probably corny in reference to the 70’s supernatural tv show Kolchak: the Night Stalker. It’s a really fun show about a reporter who takes on stories in the supernatural. The way Chris writes just reminds me of when Kolchak writes down notes on his typewriter during every episode and monologues. I loved the show as a kid but the only one I can remember is the one with a 70’s version of Jack The Ripper going around and killing massage parlor ladies or strippers. I vaguely remember others too: one with a zombie and one with a suit of armor that moves by itself.

Thanks John for reading the titles of the achievments for us. I find it fascinating and pretty fun to try to discover the origins of these titles just like when I read a book or watch a movie, the first thing I do is try to find out the reason why it was called this way.

The achievement no human being would stack books like this…is a Ghostbusters 1 reference. When they was at the library searching for the ghost librarian. .

I played this a while back but I kept dying when Mary appeared. I would try to run into another room and no matter which way I tried it I would get caught. Now that i see what you did with the flashlight, maybe I'll try it again. 👍👍👍

"No human being would stack books like this" – quote from Ghostbusters. There's a TON of Ghostbuster references in this game.
